Good afternoon, Archway Lincoln families! There’s a lot of news in this update, so please read all the way through.
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week Starts MONDAY!
We’re gearing up for Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week May 2-6th, and hope you are, too. The PSO has lots of great things planned for the teachers next week, including catered lunches and breakfast, mini-massages, and small gifts of thanks.
On Wednesday, we are providing sandwiches, chips, and cold salads for lunch and need volunteers to help make it a success. Please view this sign-up genius and help if you can. If you have any questions, please email our TA Coordinator, Jaya Puri.
You and your child are encouraged to show their teachers how much they’re appreciated by making cards, sharing nice words, or other thoughtful gestures. Your classroom liaisons may be coordinating events throughout the classroom, as well.
Please remember it is against school policy to take up a collection of cash to purchase a class-wide gift or gift card. If you have any questions, please email Archway Lincoln PSO.
Thank you in advance for making next week FABULOUS for our teachers and staff!
PSO Meeting Tuesday, May 3rd
We hope you’ll join us on Tuesday, May 3rd for a PSO meeting with Mr. Kuhlman to learn about the wonderful opportunities we have for supporting our school.
On the agenda will be a preview of some of the events we’re already planning for next year, guidelines for teacher gifts and end-of-year appreciation, and an overview of the PSO positions we have open for next year, including the effort/time involved. Mr. Kuhlman will talk about his vision for the PSO and will be available to answer any questions you may have.
We have two meeting times — 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., so please come to the meeting that suits your schedule best.
As a bonus, we’ll be raffling off a gift certificate to a local restaurant at each meeting! Perfect for a date night!
If you have any questions, please email Archway Lincoln PSO. We’ll see you on Tuesday!
End-of-Year Pool Party May 7th
Be sure to mark your calendars for our end-of-year pool party at Hamilton Aquatic Center (adjacent to Hamilton High School) on Saturday, May 7th from 6 to 8 p.m.
Hamilton Pool is a great place for families to play. We’ll have pizza, water, and popsicles for purchase for $1/each (cash only), but you can always pack a picnic dinner, too. Please remember no glass containers or alcohol is allowed at the aquatic facility.
Admission is $2/pp or max $10/family. Cash or credit is accepted at the door. No pre-purchase is necessary.
We need a few volunteers to help make this event a success, including selling tickets at the door, manning the food court, and help with setup/tear-down. Please view the sign-up genius for more information and to volunteer.
See you next Saturday, May 7th!
Uniform Collection Starts NOW!
We’re getting close to the end of the school year, which means setting aside uniforms that no longer fit our children. If your child has outgrown their uniform, consider donating it to PSO. We will take any approved clothing — shirts, shorts, pants, jumpers, sweaters, or skirts/skorts.
There is a uniform drop-off location in the front office (in the corner near the PSO bulletin board). Make sure the uniforms are WASHED before dropping them in the donation bin!
If you’re handy with a needle (sewing or knitting) and would be willing to help make sure the uniforms we collect are clean and in good repair before we distribute them, please email Archway Lincoln PSO. This is a GREAT way to help the school at home as your time allows!
We will gift uniforms to families in need and sell them to new families next year to raise funds for PSO.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Lunch and Office Volunteer Sign-Up for May (We’re at the End!)
We’re getting down to the last few weeks of school, and while some of us may be getting weary, we have to soldier on. Volunteers included! Like the poster says, we can do it!
We really need your help to make lunch happen and the office run smoothly.
Don’t worry if you’ve never done it before. Training is easy and fun and it’s a great way to say hello to your kiddo and meet some wonderful staff and parents. (Truly, if you’ve never volunteered for lunch before, you should…we have a great time!)
Please view the sign-ups for May below and help if you can:
