Greetings, Archway Lincoln families! We have two big events going on this week: January Birthday Book Club and the Read-a-Thon Kickball Game.
Birthday Book Club
Parents whose children have January birthdays, please join us Tuesday, January 26th at 2:15 p.m. in the library to celebrate birthdays! All the details can be found here.
We’re always looking for volunteers to help with this event, so if you can, check out the sign-up genius and give us a hand. As a bonus, you’ll get to spend some special time with your child at school!
Read-a-Thon Kickball Game
Children who raised $100 or more (or had 5+ sponsors) are eligible to play in Friday’s Student/Teacher Kickball game. All students should have received an invitation/permission slip form this past week. You must fill out the permission slip for your child to play, so please return it as soon as possible.
We are also looking for parents to help out that day, including a few parent team helpers, referees, and photographers. We also need some tables, water, and other items. Please check out the sign-up genius and see what you may be able to help with. Please note, only parents who are fingerprint-cleared may volunteer to be on the field with students. Your lanyard must be visible at all times.
Lastly, for any children who are participating, parents are encouraged to come cheer their children on. Spectators do not need to be fingerprint-cleared. The games start at 11:15 a.m. on the football field. There will be four simultaneous games and we’ll provide a roster so you know where your child is playing.
You may also join in our picnic lunch after the game, so bring a pack lunch and a blanket or towel to sit on.
If you have any questions or did not receive the invitation in your child’s folder, please email Archway Lincoln PSO.
Here’s to a fun and exciting kickball game!
